Travel Blue steps up their CSR initiatives as the coronavirus spreads

As COVID-19 becomes a matter of global concern, Travel Blue is taking proactive measures to help minimise the spread of the virus. The health and safety of our customers, employees, retail partners has always been a matter of top priority for us - now more than ever before. In early February, Travel Blue offices around the globe collaborated to source 100,000 surgical masks for our Chinese customers. With the shortage of masks in China, this support was crucial in an environment where the coronavirus is widespread. As part of our social responsibility effort in India, we have partnered with Flemingo Group to mitigate the impact of the coronavirus. Travel Blue has provided 2,000 N90 facemasks to Flemingo establishments in a pan-India preventative effort. Amongst those receiving practical support are Mumbai Duty Free, Go Duty Free, as well as the Duty Free Galleria stores in Delhi and Bangalore. "We are happy to support Flemingo to protect staff and help manage this pandemic. It is our duty and responsibility as a brand, and as a people, to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus here in India, and around the world" comments Pradeep Parmar, Managing Director - India, Travel Blue.   Travel Blue recognises the health hazard faced while working in the travel industry when global epidemics like the coronavirus emerge. Shopfloor staff at airports encounter travellers from across the globe, increasing their chances of contracting the virus. Travel Safe!
